The Good News: God has helped heal the faithful since the beginning.

“Then suddenly a woman . . . came up behind him and touched the fringe of his cloak, for she said to herself, ‘If I only touch his cloak, I will be made well.’ Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, ‘Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.'”

The Good News: Any brush with the holy, if accompanied by faith, may produce miraculous results.

6 Isaiah 53:4-6

“But he was wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the punishment that made us whole, and by his bruises we are healed.”

The Good News: The sacrifice of our Savior makes healing possible for all who call on Him.

7 Luke 4:41

“Demons also came out of many, shouting, ‘You are the Son of God!’ But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew that he was the Messiah.”

The Good News: Even the most debilitating and alarming illnesses fall within the healing hand of God.

8 Matthew 8:14–15

“When Jesus entered Peter’s house, he saw his mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever; he touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she got up and began to serve him.”

The Good News: Gratitude and service to others flow naturally from God’s healing touch.

9 Jeremiah 17:14

“Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved; for you are my praise.”

The Good News: Healing goes hand in hand with thanksgiving and praise. God rewards a grateful heart.

10 Matthew 9: 28–30

“Then he touched their eyes [of the blind men] and said, ‘According to your faith let it be done to you.’ And their eyes were opened.”

The Good News: In the inspiring words of “Amazing Grace,” “I once was blind but now I see!”

11 Malachi 4:2

“But for you who revere my name the sun of righteousness shall rise, with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.”

The Good News: Healing begins with a spirit of reverence. Open your heart to God and soon you may be leaping for joy!

12 Matthew 9:6–7

“But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins—he then said to the paralytic—’Stand up, take your bed and go to your home.’ And he stood up and went to his home.”

The Good News: No ailment is beyond God’s help. Paralysis of the body, paralysis of the soul—all are subject to the cleansing power of the Holy Spirit.

13 Luke 6:19

“And all in the crowd were trying to touch him, for power came out from him and healed all of them.”

The Good News: Though your prayers may not always be answered, never doubt the power of Jesus to heal.

14 Acts 3:6

“But Peter [to a lame beggar] said, ‘I have no silver or gold, but what I have I give you; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, stand up and walk.'”

The Good News: The healing work of Jesus continued after his death and resurrection, and continues to this day.

  1. Your comment towards the end about “…your prayers may not always be answered” is not so by HIS WORD. They are always answered when the supernatural is brought on the scene (God). How does that happen? Only in the name of Jesus! I think you can and should change that response. Your prayers may not be answered precisely as you thought best, or in your time frame BUT HIS response and timing are perfect and HIS WORD shows that over and over again.
