In today’s world, it’s typical to zone out on various screens to avoid the mental, emotional, or physical pain you might be in. Your phone, tablet, computer, or television may offer an “escape” from reality but they can make mental health issues worse.

Human beings are overwhelmed with stress, a flood of too much information, and too little real connection – not enough with each other and not enough with our planet.

It’s not always easy to cope with the debilitating symptoms of depression – what we refer to as Gray Mind. It is considered a public health crisis by the World Health Organization.

Depression can derail your entire life and make you feel like you’re fighting a losing battle.

Common Signs of Gray Mind

  • Fatigue no matter how much sleep you get
  • Chronic pain that has no identifiable source
  • Listlessness or numbness about activities you once enjoyed
  • Sadness that never seems to ease
  • Anxiety or irritability
  • Hopelessness that things will ever get better
  • Unexplained feelings of anger or frustration
  • High-risk behaviors
  • Thoughts of self-harm or suicide
  • And so much more…

We’re on a fast track to further mental, emotional, and physical illness.

Environmental damage – the destruction of our planet one drop of water or grain of sand at a time – are worsening the effects of poor diet, too little quality sleep, lack of exercise, and dangerous lifestyle habits. As our planet continues to sicken…so will her inhabitants.

We’ve lost contact with the most essential parts of who we are, we ignore what we need, and follow the pack mentality of mass consumption that provides no benefits to us as individuals.

To identify and resolve the very real issues that face us, it’s time to get back to basics. No matter where you live, you can benefit from Blue Mind.

  1. I would have to mull over the Gray Mind etc. but the idea does not speak to me and I have lived with depression for a lot of my life. I was hospitalized with Clinical Depression many years ago and it still hangs around. I am thankful for God’s support, his unending love, my family and friends who were sooooo supportive!! I remain on medication today as I tried once to go off the med’s but that was a huge mistake.
