When the animated musical Frozen skated into the multiplex in 2013, it grossed a record-breaking $!.27 billion in cold cash. Let it go? Hell, no!

Six years later, Disney delivers an uneven but sensationally entertaining sequel to the Oscar winner that pulls out all the stops. The songs, again by the award-winning couple of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, are tantalizing earworms.

The animation bursts with wonders — wait till you see what the CGI wizards do with water, the toughest element to animate. And it’s pleasure to re-connect with everyone’s favorite sister princesses: Elsa (belted by Idina Menzel) and Anna (trilled by Kristen Bell), along with sassy snowman Olaf (hilarious Josh Gad), lovesick Kristoff (dreamy Jonathan Groff) and Sven the mostly silent reindeer as they set off on a new adventure that might get them all killed.

Last time, Elsa ran off to a winter fortress because her uncontrollable fingertips could fast freeze anything they touched, including Anna, who coaxed Elsa back without leaning on any dude. Even hunky Prince Hans (Santino Fontana) turned out to be a scheming bastard. It was truly a case of the sisters doing it for themselves. Sweet.

This time, Elsa is back on the throne in Arendelle with Anna by her side. But Elsa keeps hearing this haunting melody wafting in from up north. Is it the enchanted forest of Ahtohallan where the indigenous Northuldra tribe holds sway and where Elsa thinks she’ll find answers about the source of her own mysterious powers?

Of course it is.

Flashbacks provide clues through the royal sisters’ parents, King Agnarr (Alfred Molina) and Queen Iduna (Evan Rachel Wood), and grandfather King Runeard (Jeremy Sisto), all of whom may have fallen victim to an icy curse that Elsa means to thaw. She even sings “Into the Unknown,” a power ballad meant to follow “Let It Go” to Oscar glory and remind you that the trumpet-tonsiled Menzel has a voice that shakes the rafters.

For the sisters and their tribe, the road to Ahtohallan is filled with perils, especially those huge rocks that turn out to be menacing giants. And watch out for what’s under the sea. There are also new characters, including an impressive Sterling K. Brown voicing a soldier trapped in a frozen…well, it’s best we stop there in the name of “no spoilers.”

Just know that Elsa must fight through a ghostly shadow world before she reaches the light.

It helps having jaunty tunes for Olaf (“When I’m Older”), Kristoff (“Lost in the Woods”) and Anna (“Some Things Never Change”) to cut through the murk. Jennifer Lee, who writes and directs with Chris Buck, can sometimes lose us in a thicket of convoluted plot lines.

But the delight and dazzle of this frosty follow-up brings it all home in a climax that should have audiences panting for a part III. Why is the sequel never the equal? Frozen II just might break the jinx. There’s magic in it.

  1. Feminist’s are at it again, making men to be bad. That will end up making, the male reindeer bad, too. Things cannot keep going that way. Male and females reindeer have horns. Genitalia is the only way to tell male, from female. Allow them to be seen. watching one ejaculate, with he help of a kind hand, cannot be bad.The reindeer will be grateful. I saw a horse, one time, with his penis, erect, looking anxiously, for a hand or whatever to help him. I remember being to afraid, to help him. I wish I did, until this very day. Defiled religious people, were al over the place, where I was.

  4. Artie, maybe you can stand behind the horsey while you’re manhandling him, if you have long arms…

    1. Yeah Artie, I agree with Rusty, give ‘em a reach around. Or better yet get in front of him and bend over and touch your defiled little toes and help out that horney raindeer and yourself too.

  5. I can’t fathom why huddled masses go vegetate watching fiction when actual reality is so much more interesting. I know, actual reality scares the spectator crowd. Ignore it and let the perps profit from the crowd’s fear of facing truth.

  6. It’s clear Hollywood, in league with the hyper political left are slowly but surely guiding / brainwashing the media viewing public. For those who don’t see the disastrous consequences…. W T F U

  7. Can’t we just enjoy a fun movie and leave sex out of it. Sex permeates every area of our lives now I am not against sex but prefer to keep it in the bedroom and not have a discussion over male genitalia during an animated movie. Just enjoy the movie if not leave and go do what you want. Feminists see everything in their fu lives. Feminism lived in the 1960’s with marches burning of bras crashing men’s clubs all in the name of equality. Well in doing so we denigrated the male sex to the point they were unsure how to treat a woman. Let’s just live with one another if the world did this it would certainly be a better place for all of us. In the meantime enjoy Frozen 2 for what it is a movie

Just used this for the first time – I used it on the toilet and I am incredibly pleased! I had
two strokes this spring and have been relying on a home health aid for wiping needs while exploring just about every other wiping tool out there. NONE of them compare to this! The length, curve, and materials set it apart as the most superior wiping aid I’ve come across. I’m excited to master using this so I can resume butt scrubbing duties for myself! Thank you for making this! LIFE CHANGER!

I just received my butt scrubber yesterday and tried it out almost right after. This IS the BEST thing I have ever used for that “hard to reach” area! Lathered it up and it was perfect. Even worked to rinse the area out too. I am glad I found this product and I will be a user for life!!

      UNSOLICITED CUSTOMER REVIEW!
I am a consumer who purchased your product off of (the Wright stuff ) web sight.
I saw the products and ordered it last week.
This product is amazing and I won’t be able to live without this products now that I have purchased it.
It is the best hygiene bathing tool that I have found.
    It even has multiple usages.
    All for my tush ..
I call it “The Tush tool-“
To freshen up with a babywipe, to use as a potty aid or use as shower tool.❤️
I have taken chemotherapy pills for 10 years and it has cause advanced arthritis and spine problems. I cannot bend , turn or move well.
    I am 59 years old.
Since my mobility problems have restricted my movement I feel like I am not ever clean or smell pretty.
    You have saved the day!
I have been sitting on a bath sponge scooting up/down to clean. This Doesn’t work well at all!
A shower sprayer is great but you need to apply soap and wipe your Tush.
I have tried tongs to hold a wash cloth. Only To find That the wash cloth will not stay put and falls off to the shower floor.
Then I can’t pick it up!
    Ugh!
I have tried several tools and nothing has worked as great as your scrubber.
    I’m so thankful!
Thank you for your great design!
    I absolutely needed this.
